Meet Dr Sean Carr MISS Program Thesis Mentor


Dr. Sean Carr contributes over 26 years of experience in the security, intelligence, and emergency management industry, Sean brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. As a military veteran with over 24 years of service, including deployments in the Middle East, Africa, and European Theaters. He has led teams that received multiple decorations for their exceptional service in austere and asymmetric environments. Sean's corporate career, which began in 2021, has seen him take on increasing responsibilities, expanding the scope of services provided by his globally placed teams. As the head of the Safety, Security, and Emergency Management Threat Assessment Division for a multinational corporation, he plays a pivotal role in producing critical data that informs enterprise decision-making. Sean's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Emergency and Protective Services, Master's in International Relations and Diplomacy, a Bachelor's in Homeland Security, and minor degrees in Criminal Justice, Leadership, and Intelligence Studies and Technology.  Beyond his professional pursuits, Sean is a noted speaker on Physical Security, Threat Assessments, Emergency Management, Risk, and Intelligence Management. Sean's accolades include JCI Ten Outstanding Young Americans Award for Academics, Nominee for Outstanding Security Performance Award.
