CJ 402a: Foundations of Human Rights

Rating is 0.0 out of five stars based on reviews

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948 provided a legal foundation for the protection of human rights and hold states accountable for their actions and inaction in the protection of their citizen's human rights. The European Convention of Human Rights of 1998 then added the importance of enforcement of these protections by leading to the creation of the European Court of Human Rights. Next, we will review International Human Rights Law which provides another layer to human rights law as this allows for applying human rights law to states and non-state actors.
