Welcome to the Introduction to Criminal Law course, an engaging and comprehensive journey into the complex world of international law and global security, with a particular emphasis on terrorism. This course is thoughtfully designed to blend theoretical knowledge with practical insights, covering a wide array of topics, including the foundations of international security, criminal law, international theoretical frameworks, and the role of the International Court System in combating global terrorism. Through a combination of engaging guest lectures, interactive workshops, and detailed case studies, the program delves into the effectiveness of global counter-terrorism instruments, the role of international security agencies, and global initiatives for terrorism prevention. It also provides a critical historical overview of the events that have shaped the landscape of international criminal law, aiming to inform and inspire the next generation of legal experts to navigate the challenges of international security in our interconnected world.
